Duties

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing substantive legal support to the United States Attorney's office Eastern District of Missouri. Typical work assignments will include:

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation
  • You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.

Qualifications

Eligibility for the GS 09 requires meeting certain standards, which are as follows: Specialized Experience: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal service. Specialized experience refers to the experience of assisting an attorney in preparing for trial. This includes making recommendations on how to proceed with trial presentations, using office automation tools to create physical and digital trial presentations, working with investigators, agents, and legal support staff, handling a wide variety of evidence and discovery, and providing technical assistance to litigation teams. Education: One of the following types of education in a related field: 1) I have obtained a master's degree, or an equivalent graduate degree; or 2) 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or 3) earned an LL.B. or J.D. degree if related. Combination: I have a combination of specialized experience (as described in A) and education (as described in B) which when combined equal 100% of the requirement.
