You will serve as an Administrative/Technical (Lead Content Developer) Specialist in the Publications Dev. Branch (D12) or Procedures Dev. Branch (D13) of the EOD Information Management Division (D1) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354).
Duties
You will direct the work of junior content developers, contractor or civilian, in assigned focus area.
You will mentor and train new content developer on standards of development and production systems.
You will develop technical standards for content developers and SME's to follow in the production of 60-series publications.
You will interpret technical requirements and develop training plans for new developers with implementation timelines to ensure all requirements are met.
You will independently represent the organization in developing and implementing standards of data development IAW Information Development and Approval Standard (IDAS).
You will maintain timelines and resource management on tasks assigned to teams in focus area.
You will write and edit a variety of technical products for various EOD-related topics for usage by EOD personnel (military and civilian) and foreign allies through foreign military sales.
You will consult and collaborate with other technical writer/editors, visual information specialists, engineers, equipment specialists, ordnance analysts, subject matter experts, and management.

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and producing technical manuals or documentation concerning ordnance, improvised explosive devices or other various weapons systems utilizing a variety of government-off-the-shelf databases and commercial-off-the shelf software applications (e.g. Solutions Business Manager (SBM), Automated Technical Library Information System (ATLIS), Extensis Portfolio and TechSmith Snag-it) to publish and disseminate accurate interpretations of the organization's technical works.
