This vacancy is for a Supervisory Survey Clerk position in the Chicago Regional Office located at the U.S. Census Bureau office in Oak Brook, IL.
This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Supervisory Survey Clerk (OA), 0303, 6, FPL GS-6 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Duties
Knowledge of survey procedures and manuals.
Knowledge of survey requirements.
Knowledge of survey methods and terminology in order to review, edit, and use questionnaires.
Plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments.
Requirements

- A supervisory probationary period may be required.
- This position is ELIGIBLE for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).
- Relocation expenses WILL NOT be paid.
- The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:
To be minimally qualified for this position you MUST have a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors in a five-minute writing sample.
AND
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-06, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service.
Experience for this position includes preparing questionnaires and/or surveys, and reviewing completed questionnaires or surveys; experience researching, developing, and evaluating survey questionnaire data in order to generate reports; experience implementing, maintaining, and evaluating survey questionnaires; experience maintaining progress and control records and evaluate performance of subordinates.
Education: Education cannot be substituted for experience at his level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
