About the Position: This position is located within the J-3/5/7 Directorate, DHA Liaison Officer (LNO) Program, in Falls Church, Virginia.

Duties
Evaluate medical readiness, providing expertise to identify all medical-systems and programs deployed in theatre.
Provide expert technical analysis and advice on strategic issues to the DHA Director and staff
Responsible for the coordination and delivery of critical DHA programs and activities to the Combatant Command (CCMD).
Direct formal tasking through normal DHA command and control channels or as agreed upon by the DHA and the supported CCMD.
Synthesize data from diverse sources, analyzes trends, and evaluates policies, plans, operations, legislation, and other program directives in order to assist in developing strategy to implement the DHA Support Plan to the CCMD.
Advise DHA on all aspects of CCMD strategic policies, plans and programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigations are required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- Employee must agree to undergo a counterintelligence scope polygraph examination, which can be administered randomly at any time while performing in this
position.
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent may be required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising on relevant capabilities and/or strategic issues; analyzing programs to determine specific areas of interest, inquiry, or investigation; developing a program strategy based on organizational objectives; and coordinating activities between agencies to synchronize current operations and future planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
