About the Position: This position is located within the US Army Corps of Engineers, PIttsburgh District, Resource Management Office, where you will exercise full technical and administrative supervision and plan work, set priorities, and conduct intensive analyses of material developed within the office and explain, clarify, and support findings.

Duties

Plan staff work assignments and adjust workloads based on immediate need of the District. Manage and Coordinate various funds for the District. Provide complete accounting services for the District, including recording and processing of daily transactions. Administer the overall budgetary management systems. Administer the manpower management systems. Provides the District staff, professional managerial accounting advice and guidance based on interpretation of statute and higher headquarters regulatory guidance.

Requirements

  • Position requires a Secret Clearance.
  • Position requires you to obtain and maintain a Financial Management Level III, Certification within 2 years of effective date.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing an integrated system of financial and resource management staff services including finance, accounting, budgetary, managerial and financial reporting, and management analysis; direct the work a resource management office staff; plan and direct the development and/or application required to execute an accounting program; manage and monitor the organizations workload to workforce projection analysis in coordination with a program management branch and establish and operate an automated financial management system.
