Duties
Loads and unloads trucks, moves, packs, unpacks, sorts, segregates, arranges, stacks, piles, or relocates a large variety of supply items.
Operates various hand/power tools to include chainsaws and leaf blowers.
Performs multiple labor tasks to include digging ditches, cutting trees, filling and leveling holes, and pouring concrete.
Participates in the culture of safety for all aspects of assigned duties in the workplace.
Works well in a team setting to support the efforts of other maintenance workers, rangers, and volunteer park staff by fetching tools, materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Required to lift and move objects weighing over 40 pounds.
- Required to obtain and maintain a valid, State-issued Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
- A pre-employment physical is required for this position.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to do the work of a Laborer, WG-3502-03 without more than normal supervision 1) Performing routine and non-routine maintenance and repair tasks; 2) Performing duties using hand or power tools to include chainsaws to perform various tasks; and 3) Operating jack hammers and lawn mowers.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires continuous standing, walking and stooping. Lifts carries and moves objects weighing over 40 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside, for long periods under varying conditions.
Education
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
