You will serve as a ACCOUNTANT in the NAWCAD COMPTROLLER GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will analyze and interpret financial data contained within financial systems, including identification, research, analysis and resolution of complex problem You will provide professional accounting services for a wide variety of programs and operations of the Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF), MILSTRIP, Contracts, Purchase Cards, Training, Travel, Payroll , OFD, Accountable Property and Transportation. You will conduct day to day operation of cost accounting functions which involve numerous programs and specialized treatment of transactions.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience; Performing day to day operations of vendor pay accounting in Navy ERP required to pay commercial invoices. Reviewing vendor submitted invoices in Wide Area Workflow to determine if they are in accordance with organizational policy, Financial Management Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Performing the Local Processing Official (LPO) role and making payments in accordance with the Department of Defense Guidebook for Miscellaneous Payments; and Making recommendations which effectively contribute to decision/policy making process, to improve existing accounting procedures/systems specifically related to contract vendor payments.
