This position is in the Bargaining Unit with National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.

Duties
As a Purchasing Agent in the Division of Resource Management and Administration, Financial Resources Branch, the selectee will provide a wide-range of procurement activities and functions to procure a wide variety of supplies, services, materials, and equipment, ranging from low to moderate complexity, in support of the NRC’s mission. Qualifications
In addition to meeting the basic requirements, to qualify for this position at the GG-09 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-08 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. To qualify for this position at the GG-10 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-09 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience for GG-09 is defined as experience that demonstrates knowledge of Federal procurement policies and procedures, contract laws, and other applicable regulations governing procurement. Examples may include examining procurement requests and identifying appropriate available sources; preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs); analyzing and evaluating quotations; preparing contract documentation and justification for award; maintaining records to control the expenditure of funds; and preparing modifications to contracts, purchase and delivery orders, task orders and interagency agreements.
Specialized experience for GG-10 is defined as experience that demonstrates expert knowledge of Federal procurement policies and procedures, contract laws, and other applicable regulations governing procurement. Examples may include a highly skilled level in examination of procurement requests and identification of appropriate available sources; expert preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs); thorough analysis and evaluation of proposals and quotations; expert preparation of contract documentation and justification for award; highly skilled level in maintaining records to control the expenditure of funds; and thorough preparation of modifications to contracts, purchase and delivery orders, and interagency agreements.
Education
In accordance with OPM’s General Schedule Qualification Standards, education is not creditable as a substitution for experience.
