This position is located in Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Asset Logistics Division, Logistics Supply Support Branch, Inventory Control Point Operations Section, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Duties
You will be responsible for operating a variety of materials handling and transport automotive equipment such as mobile boom crane, fork lift, stake truck, pick-up truck and similar equipment throughout the Coast Guard (CG) Yard/SFLC.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.Typical work assignments include:- Lifting, positioning and transporting supplies, materials, and equipment throughout assigned area.- Performing occasional bridge crane operational work.- Performing operational maintenance on assigned equipment such as checking tire pressure and defects; testing vehicle for proper amount of hydraulic fluids; checking fuel, oil and water and checking cables for work or damaged places.- Estimating the weight and center of gravity of the load to be moved.

- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications
