Duties
Supervise, plan, organize, coordinate, direct and integrate the work of a staff responsible for assuring implementation of the long-range goals and objectives of the activities supporting the DLA procurement program.
Review technical, contracting and quality history data and develops contract quality provisions specific to each supply item.
Supports the DLA procurement program and ensures work is accomplished in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and directives.
Analyze quality trends, causes of recurring deficiencies, and recommends corrective actions or changes to control procedures.
Monitor the collection, consolidation and analysis of metrics and data used to inform operating officials regarding the viability, effectiveness, and efficiency of supplier programs.
Ensure that plans, policies, and procedures reflect proper consideration of Directorate initiatives and management control systems.
Plan and prepare schedules for completion of work and assigns work to subordinates based upon selective considerations including the background and interests of the employee and the priorities and requirements.
Coach, mentor and motivate the workforce being directed by fostering innovation and initiatives while maintaining strategic focus and resource stewardship in the workplace.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Detect conditions which may compromise quality such as errors in specifications or technical data packages.
Apply specific product characteristics and attributes, including associated test procedures and equipment to detect deficiencies in various production/rework processing areas.
Investigate deficiencies and initiates corrective action.
Access and knowledge of the EBS automated data processing systems.
