About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Lake Martin located in Alexandria City, AL .
This position is an Flexible position, you may be scheduled from 0 to 40 hours per week based on mission need
Duties
Monitors operations of the recreation area, normally during absence of the manager, and normally at night or on weekends. Responsible for check-in, rental of equipment. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that the park rules, regulations and established procedures are followed.
Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all park staff members on functions taking place during the shift.
Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which provides knowledge of Outdoor Recreation Park operations. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and rental agreements. Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other park employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
