About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Puget Sound Market, Madigan Army Medical Center, Information Management, located in Tacoma, Washington.
Duties
Serve as an Assistant Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)/Privacy Act (PA) official for the command.
Serve as an Information Management Division’s Privacy Act Officer subject matter expert.
Serve as an Assistant Unit Postal Officer, providing procedural guidance on postal regulations.
Conduct weekly mailroom inspections of accountable mail to ensure compliance with USPS, DOD Postal and local regulations.

Maintain and ensure current publications, policies and organization directories/rosters are current and updated.
Train customers on Records Management Programs, ARIMS, Office Symbol Management, and records program inspections and training support.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with administrative duties maintaining files and/or records; utilize automated databases to compose correspondence and reports; assisting with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests; work in USPS mail room environment to include conducting mailroom inspections; works with records management; published policies, required publication, and forms.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
