Duties

You will coordinate ammunition support efforts to ensure fleet requirements are adequately supported. You will ensure allowance and stock levels are in compliance with DoD regulations and meets readiness goals. You will recommend or advise ammunition management methods to meets specific needs of peculiar systems. You will assist the Ammunition Officer in all matters pertaining to the Class V (W) ground ammunition. You will conduct reviews and analysis and ensure requirements are met with appropriate Marine Corps orders on Special Allowance Requests (SARs) requiring TECOM approval. You will perform management administrative work primarily associated with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of an ammunition supply program.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following duties: 1.) Performing staff studies and systems analysis across-the-board on projects and problems in the ammunition supply management area; 2.) executing on-site management analysis support and advisory services to the Ammunition Officer on training ammunition requirements determination, accounting, requisitioning, budgeting, safety, and logistics; 3.) Providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance on ground ammunition management to MARFORRES personnel; 4.) Assisting the Ammunition Officer in all matters pertaining to Class V (W) ground ammunition; 5.) Conducting review and analysis and ensures requirements are met with appropriate Marine Corps orders on Special Allowance Requests (SARs) requiring TECOM approval. Education

Education Substitution for Experience at the GS-11 Level:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
Or
an L.L.M., if related.
Or
A combination of graduate education and experience as described above that equates to one year of experience.
