Duties
In this position as a Commercial Fishing Vessel Examiner, you will provide commercial fishing industry vessel examination services as a senior technical expert regarding the local commercial fishing industry.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-11 grade level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: Planning, scheduling, and conducting on site examinations of commercial fishing industry vessels for compliance with all applicable federal regulations; Working with Federal, state, and local agencies, and fishing industry to promote commercial fishing industry safety; Providing advanced training in the enforcement of marine safety, pollution prevention, vessel manning laws, regulations, treaties and international conventions.
ORPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;OR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;ORA combination of successfully completed graduate-level education and experience.
