Duties

Writing and editing public health technical and administrative publications on behalf of the DoD and DHA. Manage the workflow of public health policy, administrative, and technical publications across DHA. Coordinate drafts with DoD executives, commanders, government and private agencies, and the Air Force and Navy for Tri-service documents. Receive and review comments, incorporating those found to be valid into the final product. Serve as an advisor to personnel at Service-level headquarters and DoD on methods and procedures used locally to prepare, monitor, and publish public health technical publications.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Up to 5% Business Travel is required.

For technical manuals and specifications writers or editors, the equivalent of 15 semester hours may have been gained through vocational or educational training above the high school level at a public, private, or Armed Forces school. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
