You will serve as a Rigging Worker Leader in the Supply and Administrative Services Division of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

Duties

You will review all pickup documents for completion and accuracy You will organize pickups and schedules appointment dates and times with division Equipment Control Coordinators (ECC). You will ensure all equipment (that is picked up), is assigned a location number for tracking purposes. You will train new employees on rigging worker tasks and the practice of equipment pickups. You will assess safety concerns, and determine the method of handling heavy assets. You will contact the Disposal Supervisor for guidance on the disposition of complex and unique assets.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift certification.
