You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER in the Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will plan work operations to meet emergency or changing program requirements.
You will negotiate logistics issues for assigned systems, equipment, platforms, or programs.
You will evaluate technical documents (e.g., engineering change proposals, operational logistics support documents, integrated support logistics plans, data plans, procurement plans) to verify compliance to program plans.
You will integrate logistic elements (e.g., materials, manpower, facilities, supply support, test equipment, packaging/storage/transportation, technical data) to meet fleet and Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) program support requirements.
You will recommend risk mitigating solutions to superiors when standards or objectives are not met.
You will evaluate the impact on budget milestones when changes occur in program funding.
You will prepare written justification to recommend funds for improvement of logistics operations.
You will write program policies in support of integrated logistics support (ILS) mission requirements.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET (SCI) security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Perform logistics management functions (e.g. supply, transportation, health services, general services, maintenance, contracting, budgeting, facilities management, and procurement activities); conduct inventories, surveys, and/or compliance inspections of federally controlled space or property; evaluate costing methods using data such as labor and supply costs to prepare recommendations concerning replacement, repair, and assignment to facilities and equipment; brief management or logistics teams of the planning, developmental, or implementation stages of major logistics programs.
