You will serve as a DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will coordinate with customers to minimize the impacts of delivery delays resulting from unforeseen delays in the production schedule. You will validate the accuracy of the Master Distribution Chart (MDC) to ensure that all authorized customers receive the required technical manuals. You will confirm supplies, material/equipment are stored, handled, and correctly shipped. You will verify distribution operations of a facility are conducted safely and according to procedures. You will brief managers and senior leaders on storage and equipment issues.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to resolve problems encountered with printing and shipping technical manuals; 2) Ensuring that technical manuals are printed in accordance with strict quality control standards and timelines; 3) Monitoring the status of technical manual print jobs from receipt, printing, processing, packing and shipment; 4) Determining the best type of commercial transportation; 5) Interacting with multiple support activities, contractors and customers to prioritize the printing and shipment of technical manuals based on required delivery dates; 6) Following up with multiple outside agencies on overdue requests in order to meet internal requirements; 7) Making recommendations on improvements that can be made in work methods, processes and procedures.
