You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will be responsible for determining the specific materials to be re-warehoused and consolidated.
You will work Independently with assigned functional responsibilities for a major commodities segment in a large warehouse.
You will organize and coordinate all materials receiving operations.
You will ensure the appropriate authority is advised of materials having serious discrepancies.
You will comply with all established safety, environmental, equipment use and security requirements.
You will use automated equipment to enter and extract data.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift certification.

An example of the screen out element is: I have the ability to and have performed a full range of Material Handler tasks including: Stores, stacks and rotates materials under the first in first out (FIFO) concept using common hand tools and materials handling equipment up to 10,000 pounds capacity; Scans bar codes and/or inputs receipt information into automated record systems; Matches, checks, and compares data to be re-warehoused and consolidation instruments with materials to be moved and consolidated against materials already in storage locations; Ensures materials data is correct on materials to be stored against currently stored materials in the warehouse locations; Corrects discrepancies or ensures corrective action is taken; Transports or forwards materials from the receiving areas to storage locations; Annotates and signs receiving and other control documents, verifying items listed match items received. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
