Duties

Obtain head count statistics required to account for subsistence furnished to personnel. Perform duties following well-established, clear-cut instructions and procedures. Perform light cleaning and replenishing duties in the dining room. Operate cash register for collecting cash and issuing change. Ensure accuracy of cash count prior to medical services account officer's verification.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees may be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
  • This position may include shift work (evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • This position may require rotating shifts (i.e. work schedule that requires employees to continuously rotate from one shift to another at predetermined intervals).
  • Certification Level 1: This is a financial management Level 1 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. General Experience: Six months of general experience in any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position, OR experience that provided a familiarity with operating a cash register, restocking supplies and performing light cleaning duties. OR Education: One year of education above the high school level. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 6. Then divide your semester hours of education by 30. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Eye-Hand CoordinationFundamentals and Operations of Finance
