About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation.
This is a Regular Part-time position with 20 guaranteed hours per week, but may be scheduled up to 40.

Duties
The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of maintenance, supply, and upkeep or oversee the operations of maintenance and supply depending on size/structure of the recreation operation. Accountable for the quantity and quality of work performed by assigned employees to include: hires, promotes, motivates, disciplines, and separates employees. Writes, coordinates, and submits AF Form 332, Base Civil Engineer Work Request, and tracks work orders to completion. Ensures safety inspections are current, to include facility, fire extinguisher, preventative maintenance, OSHA, and other inspections are maintained and documented. Documents and fosters proper maintenance and warehouse practices. May drive government motor vehicle to inspect recreation facilities, rental equipment, common areas, grounds, equipment and tools to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are accomplished and/or to identify minor plumbing and electrical discrepancies, sanitation problems or deteriorated paint surfaces. Ensures routine inspection and minor maintenance are performed on recreation vehicles. Maintains bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment at prescribed levels. Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and amenities to assure adequate inventory of items to prevent work stoppage. Overseas the procurement, maintenance, and repair of both program and rental recreation equipment. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value items subject to pilferage. Responsible for maintaining inventory of equipment purchased by appropriated and non-appropriated funds. Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance; approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave or other absences from work. Plans, schedules, and coordinates work operations, determining equipment and supplies needed according to priorities and/or objectives outlined by supervisor. Unusual problems or circumstances requiring deviations from general guidelines are discussed with supervisor. Inspects completed work for quality and completeness. Provides initial and recurring training for all employees. Performs other related duties as assigned. Drives one or more vehicles to include passenger vehicle, passenger van, pickup trucks towing travel and equipment trailers, and water/snow recreational motor vehicles on the basis of specific assignments and schedules. Reads maps and judges' road, traffic, water, snow and weather conditions.

Requirements

Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible experience in a military or civilian recreation program, which provided knowledge of supervising other personnel. Familiarity with supply and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Supervision experience should be at a sufficient level to ensure knowledge of how and why tasks are performed and to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively. Experience which demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, and efficiently both orally and in writing and the ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups to accomplish work/tasks. Must have experience with procurement and supply management.
