About the position: This position will be assigned to the Davis-Monthan AFB Child and Youth Center.
This position is a Regular Part position. Regular Part positions are guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. With benefits.
Duties
Applicant must have had substantive experience which provided a general knowledge or food preparation, presentation and serving, such as cooking in a grill snack bar restaurant cub or similar food activity. Must have knowledge or characteristics of food ability to season food and decide when foods are done. Must be able to obtain SerSafe Certifcate and satisfactorily complete installation state and national criminal background check.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical examination and current immunizations.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
- This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is required. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be at least 18 years of age. Successful completion of Tier I (Tl) Investigation is required. Position of Trust.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
