Duty Location: Fresno, California
Duties
Provides for the control, use, and disposal of property and materials.
Maintains current records on each employee designated as custodial officer, with details of assigned accountable property.
Identifies unused or limited use property for disposal considerations, and provides for the control, receipt, issue, storage, inventory, and disposal of warehoused items.
Serves as primary receiving official for expendable, non-expendable and capitalized property for the SCCAO.
Reviews all requisitions submitted in the Workload Management System (WMS) to determine if items are available from stock (inventory), surplus or other Government sources.
Maintains vehicle fleet for the SCCAO by assignment of vehicles according to local policy.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your unofficial transcripts must be provided with your application.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
Specialized Experience:
GS-05: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: 1) assisting with more complex and detailed review and analysis functions. 2) participating in supply technician work done in the organization; 3) maintaining automated supply databases to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports; 4) utilizing various software processing procedures and function keys to operate an ample range of functions within each software system.
OR
Education: Successful completion of at least a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited institution. You must provide a transcript.
OR
Combination: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours or equivalent earned towards a degree, in excess of 60 semester hours, and divide by 30 semester hours or equivalent. Then, take the number of months of experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must provide a transcript.
GS-06: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: 1) applying supply regulations as functions assigned (supply, property, and vehicle programs); 2) utilizing computer-based programs to maintain and inventory property management; 3) receiving and storing supplies and materials; 4) maintaining and replenishing supply stock for the organization.
GS-07: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: 1) utilizing computer based programs and Web based systems to maintain, report, and inventory property; 2) receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and materials for the organization; 3) maintaining physical and computerized movable property inventory systems; 4) conducting extensive fact gathering and analysis of information and apply results to the various programs associated with warehousing and property management; 5) conducting detailed searches for required supply information.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
This position does not allow substituting education for experience.
