About the Position: You will serve as the Senior Paralegal Specialist located at the Client Legal Services, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall for the Military District of Washington.

Duties

Oversee paralegal support provided to the legal assistance attorneys within the Client Legal Services. Provide legal advice and services to include family law, wills, probate powers of attorney, deeds, and other legal documents and services. Provide guidance on the preparation of litigation reports and collection of evidence. Investigate and determine third party liability under the government bill of lading or other contract. Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions. Interview witnesses, investigates and gathers information about the incident and prepares summaries of witness testimony for case file.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain notary public license.
