About the Position: Serve as Plans and Operations Specialist in the Operations Management Division (OMD), Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate (EPMD) and is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and synchronizing the daily operations in support of its missions, ceremonies, training requirements, and operations.
Duties
Develop plans and strategies for internal and external day-to-day operations.
Evaluate issues that are diverse in nature and extrapolates existing methods for future requirements in developing timely and executable plans of action.
Conduct management reviews to meet goals and objectives to improve the effectiveness of organization's program operations.
Provide guidance on general policies and procedures in resolution of time-sensitive problems concerning operational matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.

Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience which demonstrate applicant's understanding in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning operations programs and plans; experience in ability to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendation on operations and planning programs; skill in oral and written communication to present recommendation, express policy and procedures pertaining to organization, business and administrative support functions. Experience in automated data base and word processing systems for creating and maintaining calendars, suspense, operations orders and/or various memorandums reports, etc.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
