This Supply Technician position will be located in Statue Of Liberty National Monument, in the Administrative Division.

Duties

Perform supply functions, resolving procurement discrepancies, and maintaining sufficient inventories. Incumbent will be expected to work in a team atmosphere, communicate with work groups. Skilled in spreadsheets, word processing, email, on-line programs. work and communicate effectively with others and demonstrate excellent communication skills while sometimes working under stressful and difficult conditions. Perform records management and filing duties. Conduct annual formal and informal property inventory verification. Use computer running Windows operating systems to perform office automation functions including maintaining tracking logs and central files; typing correspondences. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level GS-7.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To qualify for GS-5: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes ordering, receiving, maintaining, and delivering stock and inventory, typically in a warehouse setting, in support of multiple worksites and customers. You must include hours per week worked. OR Have at least four years of education above high school (120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours) in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. You must include transcripts. OR Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Note: only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. You must include hours worked and transcripts. To qualify for GS-6: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).Specialized experience includes ordering, receiving, maintaining, and delivering stock and inventory, typically in a warehouse setting, in support of multiple worksites and customers; tracking orders, equipment, and supplies in electronic inventory management systems and hardcopy purchasing files; using systems to assign costs to work orders. You must include hours per week worked. *No educational substitute. To qualify for GS-7: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes the following: using an online property management system to track property, run reports, and update property data; implementing plans for acquiring and excessing inventory; ordering, receiving, maintaining, and delivering stock and inventory. You must include hours per week worked. *No educational substitute. Supply Clerical and Technician Series 2005 (opm.gov) Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies.
