About the Position: You will serve as the District Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Planning Support and Physical Security Specialist on all aspects of AT/FP and physical security. Duties

Maintain District Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and physical security programs. Provide crisis management planning and execution assistance. Identify current internal security problems. Investigate reports of security violations. Develop exercise AT/FP guidance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • You must complete Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of appointment.
  • You must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain Physical Security Inspector credentials.

Qualifications

This is not a full-time remote position. The duty station is Memphis, TN. There may be an opportunity to telework a portion of the work week. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and physical security programs through managing the requirements, personnel, and equipment needed; and implementing AT/FP and physical security planning requirements with institutions such as JCS, DOD/DA Directives, Army Regulations, USACE Plans and Regulations and FEMA Plans and Procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingManages and Organizes InformationOrganizational AwarenessTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
