This position is located in the Property and Supply Department of the Northern Cheyenne Service Unit (NCSU) Lame Deer, MT. This position is responsible to assist the Purchasing Agent to oversee the procurement, property, and supply management functions for NSCU. This position performs services in support of inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging or supply identifications systems, property utilization.

Duties

1. Maintains stock, establish or adjusts stock levels and recorder points to assure adequate stock of stock of supplies and materials are available when needed. 2. Initiates, prepares, edits, and processes requisitions for stock replenishment. 3. Upon receipt, checks items against packing slips. purchase orders. or credit card orders; prepares discrepancy reports, receiving reports, and/or other supply transaction reports as necessary; contacts vendors for credits and/or adjustments. 4. Operates personal computers to perform record research, data input. and data corrections/additions/deletions to maintain an accurate supply management system.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-5: 4 years of education above high school OR your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Order supplies, maintain inventory and supply records; computer data input. GS-6: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: utilize an automated system for ordering and receiving supplies; reconcile transactions and process payments for recurring invoices; & compile/review/maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, and/or requisitions. GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Govern supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; prepare and maintain receiving reports and inventory reports; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Specialized Experience--Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
