Duties
As a Fair Housing Analyst, you will:
Perform a variety of duties to assist the Director Supervisor in developing new strategies, policies and or initiatives related to the programs of the office. This includes working with appropriate HUD staff as well as other Federal agencies policy officials responsible for developing and implementing new program activities.
Apply knowledge of appraisal disciplines, development and management concepts, principles, methods, and practices. Review appraisal and valuation work identified during investigations of complaints alleging valuation bias. Incorporates knowledge of the Fair Housing Act while reviewing appraisal and valuation work.
Serve as technical resource staff person for the supervisor or Team Leader for advice and guidance on all matters relating to appraisals, including the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Provide technical assistance, advice, and other information to improve understanding and access to programs supported by the Office. Work closely with headquarters and field offices to provide guidance and direction in resolving program issues.
Direct and develop plans for project teams or other groups in accomplishing producing projects studies.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Uses experience of appraisal disciplines, development and management concepts, principles, methods, and practices. AND
- Reviews appraisal and valuation work identified during investigations of complaints alleging valuation bias. AND
- Uses experience of the Fair Housing Act while reviewing appraisal and valuation work.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
