You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER, US MARINE CORPS FORCES PACIFIC of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.
Duties
You will receive and screen all visitors and telephone calls to the commanding general.
You will route call and visitors based upon knowledge of programs and operations.
You will provide quick and courteous answers to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files.
You will compose correspondence for commanding general's signature on own initiative, based on knowledge of their views and desires.

- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting, scheduling, or consulting on executive administrative matters preparing a variety of paper and electronic correspondence from rough drafts, notes, or verbal instructions; and assisting in the coordination of any travel arrangements for senior level personnel, meetings or briefings including hotel accommodations, special transportation needs/services and logistical support.
