You will serve as a Lead Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
You will develop, recommend and coordinate the implementation of a variety of AIS security procedures and policies involving AIS systems and remote devices.
You will ensure compliance monitoring occurs, reviewing the results of such monitoring and implement mitigation strategies to correct any deficiencies.
You will plan and conduct risk and threat analyses of AIS, recommending countermeasures and alternatives to protect, prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, data and personnel.
You will review, audit and inspect MS systems and facilities for compliance with requirements, procedures and directives.
You will make recommendations to improve AIS security and maintain high levels of security awareness.
Requirements

Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Information Technology Specialist work. Specialized experience must include: 1) Coaching the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, and providing advice on work methods, practices and procedures; 2) Planning and conducting risk and threat analyses of AIS (Automated information System), recommending countermeasures and alternatives to protect, prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, data and personnel; 3) Developing system tests and evaluations to prove the merit of security countermeasures applied, noting deficiencies, and developing alternate solutions; and 4) Providing direction and guidance on security requirements, ensuring systems operate with the most effective security posture in compliance and local directives.
