About the Position: Provides administrative and technical support for the Contracting Division in the total procurement process, often requiring research and problem solving regarding contracting issues of all types.
Duties
Provides administrative and technical support for the Contracting Division in the total procurement process, often requiring research and problem solving regarding contracting issues of all types.
Proceeds on own initiative to coordinate or perform follow-up actions associated with Pre-award and Post-award activities.
Performs periodic audits of the complete assembly of all award files, assuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency with regular or special directives and instructions.
Performs follow-up actions associated with vendor deliveries, obtaining sufficient information from the contractor and requestor to determine appropriate administrative action regarding late deliveries
Performs a variety of office management and administrative support work requiring advanced technical knowledge of policies, procedures, and functions of the Contracting Division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315
- This position requires to obtain and maintain position requirements of certification in Acquisition Career Field, Level II within 24 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to by agencies to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.

GS-06 - Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes responsible for reviewing data, organizing technical data related to contracts purchasing/procurement activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business administration, public administration, organizational management, or other closely related discipline pertinent to procurement.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
GS-07 - Specialized Experience: I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in Federal service which includes (1) Service with verifying accuracy of contract award procurement documentation; or (2) reviewing purchase requisitions and commitments for completeness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business administration, public administration, organizational management, or other closely related discipline pertinent to procurement.

Education
