About the Position: This is a Program Analyst, GS-0343-12, position with the US Army Training Support Center at Fort Eustis, VA.
Duties
Serves as the divisions primary point of contact on program/budget matters.
Develops financial plans and requirements in support of the Combined Arms Center (CAC) and Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) requirements.
Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, and regulations for potential impact on major program objectives, operating policies, work operations and progress.
Organizes program and budget input into prescribed format, coordinating with and providing assistance in interpretation and any other necessary explanations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position - must be able to obtain this certification within 24 months from hire date. (See "additional Information" section)

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) performing studies/analysis on resources, personnel and training support issues; 2) analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of current and projected operating programs; 3) preparing papers and reports relating to budgetary and special projects; AND 4) analyzing the federal budget process to include program objective memorandums. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
