You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (OA) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will identify problems with collected data, resolve conflicts and prepare summary reports. You will serve as a recorder for meetings, selection boards or bid openings. You will assist in the preparation of presentations and briefings. You will assist with management studies by gathering and researching regulations. You will assist in maintaining office management.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.

Qualifications

This position has a selective placement factor (SPF) that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: The ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and composing a wide variety of correspondence and reports utilizing various automation software (e.g. Microsoft office suite, windows, databases) to provide clerical and administrative support; 2) Managing and maintaining accurate data files for site personnel; 3) Assisting in the development of graphs and reports for management review; 4) Providing routine customer support when receiving and answering in person requests, telephone inquiries and emails; and 5) Checking for accuracy working with professional staff and contractors.
