About the Position: This position is located with DIRECTORATE OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT PRODUCTION ENGINEERING DIVISION PRODUCTS BRANCH.
Duties
Direct and plan the operations of an Industrial Equipment Maintenance and Test Equipment Maintenance production activity.
Resolve maintenance contract issues and develop contracts to reduce quality production performance of the activity.
Supporting the CIP through collecting technical data, using the Economic Analysis (EA) tool, and completing economic analyses, cost comparisons.
Develop a strategic manpower plan that encompasses workforce attrition, replenishment, and training.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the
duration of employment.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification.
Qualifications
(1) Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
(2) Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) establishing goals and objectives to accomplish Industrial Equipment Maintenance and Test Equipment Maintenance missions; 2) analyzing maintenance production data and statistics for upper management use in decision making; 3) interpreting customer requirements to develop maintenance production strategies; AND 4) performing personnel administration such as directing the work of subordinates, selecting personnel for vacant positions, performance evaluation, etc.
