This FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters-State, Operations Directorate (J-3), Army National Guard (ARNG) Training Center or Army Air Field (AAF). and is part of the CA AASF Stockton.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, WG-5413-8, is to operate and maintain a fuel distribution system composed of bulk storage, hydrant-refueling system, or a tanker truck operation used to perform ground refueling of aviation aircraft. The function utilizes a bulk storage fuel farm to store one or more types of aviation fuel.

Qualifications

General Experience: Possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, WG-5413-8: Must have at least 12 months experience or training providing knowledge of the equipment (e.g., tanks, manifolds, valves, filter/separators, pumps, etc.) and procedures for constructing bladder tank farms sufficient to provide technical guidance to and inspect the work of others. Knowledge of fuels, fuel distribution, regulations, and procedures, and the operation of fuel distribution systems sufficient to perform a variety of functions associated with the operation of a system, including general maintenance. Ability to apply knowledge of more complex steps and processes to convert fuel measurements from volume received at tank temperature to the equivalent volume at the standard temperature set by the American Petroleum Institute.
