Duties
Responsible for determining knowledge management needs supporting the mission, vision, and goals. Determines Knowledge Management (KM) technology to include web-based interface tools aligned with Military and Civilian business practices.
Provide KM technology solutions for JPMRC 196th BDE to include internal support to subordinate headquarters located in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and mission requirements west of the international dateline.
Perform the full scope of technology support IOT, and implement KM principles and work practices within the JPMRC 196th organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a "Secret" security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Subject to deployment (TDY up 50% of the time) under field conditions to support rotational training exercises as part of a deployable training support package.
- Deployments will be to another training area. In the event of a deployment, the incumbent must continue to perform assigned duties to support the mission requirements until relieved by proper authority, or the mission is complete.
- The incumbent may be required to live and work in tents or shelters while on deployment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing long-range plans and objectives for administering a knowledge management (KM) program; and evaluating the effectiveness of a knowledge management (KM) program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
