About the Position: Serves as the U.S Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Medical Readiness Command (MRC) Logistics Management Specialist / Property Book Officer responsible for coordinating with functional representatives to manage property and medical equipment.
This position is with the Medical Readiness Command Pacific located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii.
Duties
Develop policy, internal controls, and programs for property accountability and medical equipment maintenance management.
Analyze Army regulations pertaining to authorization documents for research and development, type classification of material, list of reportable items, stock control, and supply procedures.
Schedule actions needed to meet requirements for delivery of equipment and supplies on time.
Identify improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques in support of the property management and medical equipment maintenance programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 35% of the time away from your permanent duty station.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes resolving problems with overage of equipment on property books; providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of logistical procedures for an organization; and scheduling actions to meet delivery of medical equipment and supplies for an organization.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
