Duties
You will exchange receipts for accountable mail (registered, insured, or certified) to maintain accountability.
You will receive, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, reports, and other material to approximately 150 points of distribution.
You will operate a military vehicle to make messenger runs to deliver and pick-up official mail and correspondence from outlying units/activities.
You will deliver material by organization/unit and picks up material at mail point stops and sorts it for route delivery.
You will sign for and safeguards classified and accountable mail during delivery and/or pickup from various organizations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and retain a secret security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". The incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as the ability to sort and route mail to distribution locations; inspects outgoing mail for completeness and compliance; and protects classified material from compromise while in personal custody.

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
