Duties

Provides technical assistance to managers concerning appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgeting. Ensures all individual budgets are coordinated, realistic and support long range planning. Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package. Ensures the correct production of budgets and their execution including compliance with appropriate regulations, etc. Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends, working capital and the NAFI's financial position. Evaluates established internal policies, procedures and management controls to ensure adequacy. Monitors compliance. Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers. Performs analyses of performa financial statements for proposed ventures; evaluates efficiency/effectiveness; prepares/reviews return on investment schedules for capital projects; assists and guides managers deciding on capital reinvestments.

Qualifications

Work experience which includes: 1) interpreting and assessing program financial performance using standard financial management systems; 2) interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statement results; and 3) requiring the application of commercial budgeting techniques.
