About the Position: Serves as Chief, Program Management Support Division, US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7,Army Recovery Care Program Directorate. Serves as a key member of the continuous assessment/planning initiative to shape the program to best support the needs of the Army; shaping future disposition of the Army Recovery Care Program support.
Duties
Manages/oversees civilian personnel management.
Assures all policy, regulatory and program issuances are properly integrated with other staff actions and are supportive of mission requirements.
Analyzes significant military HR management issues and problems and develops recommendations and alternative solutions.
Receives advice from the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, the US Army Human Resources Command (HRC), and the US Army Medical Command on the development of new policies and the interpretation and adaptation of existing policies.
Exercises the full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities and responsibilities in directing work of subordinate staff.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) of up to 5% of the time is required.
- This position has been designated as a Mission Essential (ME) position. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent must continue to perform Mission Essential duties until relieved by proper authority.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:1) experience providing guidance to staff and leaders on a variety of procedural and policy matters pertaining to administrative policies and procedures; 2) experience in a wide range of administrative concepts, laws, policies, practices, regulations, procedures, and their application affecting an Agency program. AND 3) providing direction on administrative matters, management services and procedures for personnel and payroll matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
