You will serve as a TRAINING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the Operations and Training Directorate (G-3), of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.
Duties
You will coordinate meetings by arranging for accommodations, locating and reserving conference sites, arranging for audiovisual support and equipment, or providing refreshments.
You will maintain status tracking system of training transactions to manage training requirements.
You will use presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint) to create slides and visual aids for presentations.
You will research data from automated system to generate report summaries of information (e.g., ad hoc data call reports, training billets, course requests).
You will answer questions specific to training, property inventory, timekeeping, administrative, and clerical practices for an organization.
You will brief individuals to prepare them for media events (e.g., interviews, press conferences).
You will inform supervisor of changes, updates, or revisions in accordance with procedures.
You will resolve office support issues such as procurement of supplies, office equipment maintenance, timekeeping.
You will proofread and edit correspondence to conform to regulations and policy, for correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and format.
You will prepare requisitions for supplies, equipment, or repairs based on office needs.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage the day-to-day oversight support and safety operations for a a multi-purpose training facility that involves adapting, revising, and operating audiovisual equipment products; schedule use of the training facility and operation of audiovisual equipment used for training and events; coordinate the operation, maintenance and repair of the facility, storage and inventory of equipment and supplies; sets up and operates various types of fixed and portable audiovisual and computer projection equipment; and prepares project papers, staff reports, and organize and deliver briefs to a diverse audience.
