About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties
Utilize the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) to review records processed through the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
Create inventory schedules of individual property book accounts to provide account holders an electronic hand receipt.
Monitor work orders for modification, installation, relocation, removal, etc. to ensure expenditures are entered correctly.
Assist Property Book Officer (PBO) with auditing property transactions to ensure proper justification.
Maintain audit trail of Depot property using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
- Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
- Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
- Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
- This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
- Incumbent will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing various computer software programs for monthly inventories, 2) recommending new processes or procedures for property inventories, and 3) communicating effectively with all personnel to coordinate proper inventory control procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
