You will serve as a COMMAND EVALUATOR in the Command Evaluation and Review Office (Code 100CE) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will assist in the conduct of studies, investigations and analyses to provide for efficiency and effectiveness improvements in support of Command mission and program objectives.
You will conduct internal investigations and external investigations directed by DOD, DON or NA VSEA IG, and reports on investigative results.
You will implement and administer Command liaison and follow-up for all external audit agencies, including, but not limited to, GAO, NAS, DOD/DON and NA VSEA JG Offices.
You will serve as a point of contact for audits, surveys, inspections and reviews conducted by external audit agencies such as GAO, NAS, DOD/DON and NAVSEA IG.
You will make on-site visits to observe operations and conduct interviews with all levels of Command personnel, i.e., Department Heads, Division Heads, Branch Heads, Subject Matter Experts.
You will plan and conduct investigations of situations reported via the local Fraud, Waste and Mismanagement Hotline.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience managing work using internal control procedures.
Experience preparing audit plans to be used as guidelines for conducting audits/reviews that determine adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Experience conducting investigations in response to Fraud, Waste, and Mismanagement hotline program report (or equivalent confidential problem reporting system).
GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying statistical methods and techniques during audit process.
Experience discussing findings and proposing recommendations with Department Heads, Division Heads and Branch Heads.
Experience conducting research, gathering/analyzing data, and making recommendations regarding practices, procedures, processes, programs, and activities.
