You will serve as a SECURITY GUARD of NAVSTA MAYPORT FL SEC DET and multiple other locations.
Duties
You will question suspicious persons and warn or detain violators of laws, regulations, policies, rules or posted warnings.
You will serve as member of entry control/vehicle inspection team, which conducts private and commercial vehicle inspections.
You will control, prepare, issues identification badges, cards, and passes that allow access of visitors, contractors, foreign nationals, government agents, elected officials, media representatives, and DV personnel.

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Required to wear a uniform and comply with grooming standards in accordance with Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) directives.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

For The GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing security functions such as protecting property and guarding a broad range of highly sensitive items from hazards such as trespass, theft, and accidental or willful damage/destruction within installations or restricted areas.
For The GS-05:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing security functions such as assisting with the detection, apprehension, and detention of violators for appropriate disposition.
For The GS-04:
Have at least six months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-03) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that involved the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life. Such experience must have provided knowledge of protective systems and techniques.
For The GS-03:
Have at least six months of general experience that includes experience in administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work that involved following written procedures, rules, or regulations in contacts with coworkers, supervisors, or members of the public to provide a service, respond to inquiries, or obtain information.
