Qualifications

Requirements: •         Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. •         Minimum 4+ years of experience in a graphic design and/or marketing/communications role, preferably on Capitol Hill, within the government, with an advertising agency, or within a marketing communications department. •         A strong portfolio showcasing print and digital projects. •         Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.). •         Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ClickUp (or similar productivity platform). •         Demonstrated understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography. •         Experience with both print and digital design, and production processes. •         Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while paying close attention to aesthetics and details. •         Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet project deadlines and accomplish goals. •         Objectively process feedback and effectively evolve designs. •         All employees within CAO are expected to demonstrate the following general competencies: Accountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Customer Orientation, Knowledge of Relevant Policies, Procedures, and Processes, Priority Management, and Problem Resolution. *Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only).
