Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) at Schriever Space Force Base is searching for a Portfolio Manager Lead for the SAIO (NH-1101-03, GS12/13 equivalent). Description: The Space Acquisition and Integration Office's (SAIO) mission is to deliver responsive, mission-focused acquisition solutions to optimize warfighter operations by being the premier services acquisition organization recognized DoD-wide for its integration, expertise, and quality of execution. Aligned as a direct report to the Space Operation Command (SpOC) Commander, SAIO is a unique integrated acquisition organization consisting of program management, contracting, quality, and legal personnel over seven different divisions. SAIO is a services acquisition organization that executes complex, above Space Base Delta (i.e., Wing) acquisitions. We acquire services in support of a $9B portfolio spanning Headquarters Space Operations Command (SpOC), SpOC Deltas, Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), STARCOM Deltas, United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) / Northern Command NORTHCOM), and other mission partners as assigned. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • PCS/Incentive funding is available.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • This position is eligible for situational telework, 4-6 days a pay period.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate: -Experience identifying, prioritizing, and managing a diverse portfolio of acquisition programs, projects, and data to enable the achievement of strategic organizational goals. - Experience leading teams in identifying, communicating, and building relationships with key stakeholders; liaising between various mission partners, acquisition organizations, and internal team members and leaders; and, collaborating with program managers, contracting officers, quality specialists, and cross-functional teams. - Background monitoring customers' needs and objectives and providing feedback if organization's processes and products align to customers' needs and objectives. - Experience gathering, reviewing, and analyzing portfolio and acquisition data (contract data, NAICS/PSC codes, etc.), spending reports and other key metrics using data analytics tools to inform management decisions. Experience organizing, providing, and presenting results of analyses to support decision makers at all levels. Background collecting, managing, and maintaining data on portfolios of programs/contracts. - Background assessing options for process improvement, including business process and acquisition processes, and identify organizational and policy changes to support. - Experience maintaining documentation regarding projects, processes, and operations. - Experience developing and managing organizational budgets.
