Duties

You will oversee and administer the day-to-day management of three environmental programs and interact with other environmental, engineering, and technical professionals serving the 50th Civil Engineer Squadron in beautiful Colorado Springs. Ideal Candidate: Environmental Professional; 4-year degree or higher in community planning, biology, physical, or engineering sciences; Program manager for Air Quality; Environmental Management System and Solid Waste programs; schedule and complete compliance inspections and prepare reports; work with a team to develop and give environmental status briefings to management; working knowledge of e-DASH, APIMS and ACAM.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • PCS/Incentive funding is not available.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • This position is eligible for situational telework, 4-6 days a pay period.

Qualifications

This position is covered by the OPM Individual Occupational Requirements for Management and Biological Sciences series 0401 and Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions and can be found here.

Education

A Four-Year Degree in: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
