ORGANIZATIONAL LOCATION: DHHS, IHS, Phoenix Area - CRSU, Parker Indian Health Center. Position is located in Parker, Arizona. Primary function is to perform variety of nursing tasks involving standardized procedures and providing assistance for nursing and medical providers. Position is supervised under the Supervisory Clinical Nurse.
Duties
Major Duties:
Ability to observe basic bodily functions, contribute to the plan of patient care according to patient's needs and established standards, hospital policies and procedures, demonstrate expertise in basic patient care, procedures and proper use of patient care equipment, provide basic instructions, communicate effectively
with physicians, nurses and patients and patient's family, continuing educational development.
Complete patient charting in EHR (Electronic Health Record) and update patients medical history.
Work with specialized teams for specialty and direct patient care for a variety of age groups.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
GS-0621-04:
Six (6) months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 03 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Performing a variety of nonprofessional nursing care work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other medical, nursing, or patient care facility, or in such work as that of a home health aid . OR
2-year degree program in an accredited community college, junior college, or college or university in practical nursing or in a field of study appropriate to the specialization of the position, such as education in a program for a psychology, psychiatric, or operating room technician. (Must submit transcripts). OR
Combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position
GS-0621-05:
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 04 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Providing personal nursing care to react in an emergency situation gathering data, observing patients and reporting to physicians and nurses. Obtaining vital signs and identifying the emergent/non-emergent situations. OR
4 -year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with courses in a practical nursing or in a field of study appropriate to the specialization of the position, such as education in a program for a psychology, psychiatric, or operating room technician. (Must submit transcripts) OR
Combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position
