Duties

You will monitor trends within the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program to identfy and record major causes of complaints. You will assist the complaints manager in administering the complaints process for all appropriated and non-appropriated fund activities at Camp Lejeune. You will perform a variety of clerical, technical, and administrative support tasks for the EEO Office. You will receive, screen, and distribute all incoming correspondence and documents. You will ensure accuracy of format, spelling, punctuation, grammar, arrangement and spacing of material. You will assist the complaints manager in administering the complaints process for all appropriated and non-appropriated fund activities at Camp Lejeune.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assists in monitoring and analyzing informal and formal complaints to identify and record major causes of complaints. Proofreads typed material, secures authorized signatures, and makes proper distributions. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience performing the major functions of the discrimination complaints and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process. *Experience applying the body of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, and regulations, and problem-solving methods in complaints of discriminations. *Experience recommending corrective or other appropriate action to preclude repetition of complaints. *Experience using a variety of software and systems such as DCPDS, Dbase IV and Microsoft PowerPoint. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on equivalent education as follows:

Successfully completed four years of education above high school level.
OR
Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
